Whats on my mind?

I have been seeing this for quite sometime and I'm so confused by it
How is it that we are to busy to accept the kind and thoughtful gestures of someone and then return it to others.
I know some of the awards ask you to pick 8/10/15 other bloggers and say a few things about yourself but GHEZ bloggers is it really that time consuming that its not worth showing others kindness.
I know, I know, (in my teenager nonchalant tone)
its everyone's prerogative, however
look at it this way.
blog awards is a great small gesture that bloggers choose to give to others they feel have displayed great work with their blog which is a 'free time' unpaid passion for most bloggers so why are bloggers dissing the awards.
Aren't bloggers worth the few MINUTES or even an HOUR to choose others and carry out the instructions for the awards.

why have you decided to become a

  1. It's a personal choice. I think most people aren't opposed to the awards. But it can get tedious when you keep getting the same ones and are expected to keep listing people. Most people have handful of blogs they REALLY love and it can get redundant for the recipient and giver.

    1. I do understand someone nominated you for an award you already have received. It happened to me. I simply thanked the person and informed the person that I had already received the award and I will gently pass. however if I have new bloggers then I will take the time to pass it on to them or I just take a pass.

  2. Hi!

Thanks for linking up! That drink looks good. I may have to try that soon.

It's nice to recieve a blog award. it's a nice affirmation that people like/enjoy your blog.

  3. Yum! That sounds super easy and really delicious! Thanks for sharing! :)

  4. I understand what you are saying. I'm not award free for the reasons you mentioned but I can't say that I haven't thought about it. I think it was a bigger deal before everyone decided to go award free. I think it was getting out of hand and now it has settled down a bit. I wasn't around when it was getting out of hand. It's just conjecture on my part. But I'm really glad you mentioned it. This is a great discussion topic.
