My Review:  Hitting the Right Note by Author Rhonda Bowen takes place in Toronto, Canada. The story is told from a 3rd person point of view.  The main character, Judith Isaacs aka jj was an easy going character who is the life support of her family.  As she and her sisters become reacquainted with their sister in law, j.j. becomes the beacon that demonstrates forgiveness.
My favorite character is minor character Cymmone, one time known singer and the character that provides the element of surprise / twist i in the story.  She is not through -out the novel but her character at one time shared  the central conflict of the protagonist.J.J. My least favorite character was Sabrina and I wanted J.J. to slug her instead of shunning her just once before the novel ended.  Round character, Deacon Hill, the renowned singer and every woman's dream is another unforgettable character. I liked the character development the author penned for him.    All characters are believable and their roles fit well in the story.
When Love, Career and Faith does not seem to intertwine, it can cause emotional stress, and J.J. emotions was eroding within her heart.  I liked the plot and the story ending was satisfying. I especially liked how the author showed J.J. being torn between her dreams of being a Singer and her love for God.
My reading pace was moderate through out the novel.  I did find myself sliding down a few lines after chapter 32 but the story held my attention.   The book title and plot: 5/5 Book cover to plot or title: 3/5.   Hitting the Right Notes , a Christian novel, is a Darn Good Read and sits on my shelf with a 3.5  /  5 review rating. I'm looking forward to reading author, Rhonda Bowen other novels.
